HNSNA has partnered with EventMobi to provide the event app for the 2023 conference. Both virtual and in-person attendees can access the digital conference space via computer or mobile device and use it to connect to schedules, sessions, speakers, and exhibitors. The conference app also features announcements, prerecorded videos, games, and networking opportunities. The app will go live a few days before the conference begins and will remain open for the 90 day on-demand viewing period.
Over the course of our 2021 virtual conference and on-demand period, our app received over 450,000 page views. You can take advantage of this gathering of avid histfic lovers by advertising your product or service in the #HNS2023 conference app!
Menu Ad – 25 available @ $125 each
Do you want to get a brief message in front of as many people as possible? A menu ad is for you!
A menu ad is a rotating block that is prominently placed at the top of the main menu in the EventMobi conference app. Menu ads at the 2021 conference each received an average of over 100,000 impressions.
You can use the menu ad to advertise a new release, a writing service, a series, and more! The lefthand menu is fixed in place when viewed via a browser (i.e., on a laptop, the most widely used device), so it is always visible as attendees navigate the virtual conference space. Larger versions of the menu ads will also be placed on all of the list pages within the app and will randomly rotate as attendees browse speakers, guests, sponsors, and fellow attendees. Menu ads will remain in rotation during the 90-day on-demand viewing period.
Menu ads also feature an info bar beneath the ad where your author name or company name will appear along with a brief call to action. Menu ads link directly to the website of your choice: your author website, Amazon author page, professional service website, merchandise site, etc. Note that these ads may not be visible to viewers who have ad-blockers enabled. Menu ads should be created as 800 x 320 for appearing in the list pages, but note the ads will be re-sized to fit the menu space when appearing on the home page.

Do you want your message delivered directly to attendees’ in-boxes? Snap up the exclusive announcement ad!
New for 2023, this ad will appear in every announcement we send out to attendees via the app. We sent out over 30 announcements during the 2021 conference and on-demand period and anticipate a similar amount for 2023. Topics included important information for attendees ranging from technical updates, programming notices, group meet-ups, daily game reminders, prize winners, and more.
The announcement banner ad links directly to the website of your choice: your author website, Amazon author page, professional service website, merchandise site, etc. We cannot guarantee the number of announcements we will send out, but we estimate a minimum of 10,000 page views. The announcement ad should be created at 800 x 320.

The Histfic Hub at the 2021 conference received over 6,000 page views, and as the exclusive advertiser on this page, your 1600 x 450 banner ad gets all those page views to itself! The Histfic Hub banner ad links directly to the website of your choice—your author website, Amazon author page, professional service website, merchandise site, etc.—and will remain in place through the 90-day on-demand period.

Author Reelz – 30 available @ $50 each
Do you enjoy using video to engage with readers? These video spots are available exclusively to authors!
New for 2023, create a short-form video of up to 60 seconds long featuring you speaking directly to attendees about your books or your latest book trailer. These videos will be accessible via a menu tab and a widget on the home page. Author Reelz provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate who you are in a fun, relatable way. You may also have up to three web links listed below your video. The prerecorded videos at the 2021 conference received over 13,000 combined page views, although they were longer and more varied in content. We anticipate more page views for these short, fun videos and will use gamification to encourage attendees to watch.
Virtual Exhibit Booth – 50 available @ $50 each
Do you need more space to present detailed information about your products or services directly to attendees within the conference app?
Get the word out about your books or writing-related product or service with a virtual booth. Attendees access the virtual exhibit hall via a tab on the main menu and a widget on the home page. As an exhibitor, you will be able to customize your booth with text, images, videos, and links to engage visitors and convert them into customers. A slideshow of exhibitors will be featured on the home page, and attendees will be encouraged to visit the virtual exhibit hall via gamification throughout the course of the conference. The exhibit hall will also remain open during the 90-day on-demand viewing period. Exhibitors at the 2021 conference received almost 20,000 combined page views.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy an ad if I’m not attending the conference?
Absolutely! You may also wish to consider sponsorship opportunities that allow you to reach and interact directly with in-person attendees. See the Sponsorship Page for details.
Can I buy more than one ad?
Certainly! But you may only buy one of each ad type. For example, you may buy a Menu Ad and an Exhibit Booth, but not two Menu Ads. Or you may buy an Author Reelz and the Histfic Hub Ad, but not two Author Reelz, etc.
Will my ad be seen by both virtual and in-person attendees?
Yes! Both virtual and in-person attendees will utilize the conference app. In addition to viewing live programming and on-demand videos, attendees will use the app to browse the program, create personal schedules, view speaker and attendee bios and hotel maps, post to the social wall, and play games for prizes.
Will you edit my video for me?
No. Your video should be complete and ready for viewing when you submit it to us.
Will you resize my banner ad for me?
While we can resize your ad, we cannot guarantee the resolution or that we won’t need to crop it. For best results, submit your ad in the required dimensions.
How do I buy an ad?
Simply click on the appropriate Paypal button, enter your information and form of payment, and voila! You will receive an email confirmation and then all you need to do is send us the ad information.
Do I need a Paypal account to pay?
No. You do not need a Paypal account to pay via the Paypal portal. You will be given the option to pay with your debit/credit card or bank account.
